Quilmes organizations to honor José Martín Amigo 50 years after execution

Human rights, social, and political organizations are organizing a tribute in Quilmes Oeste to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the execution of José Martín Amigo. Amigo, a Peronist Youth and Montoneros militant, was killed by the military dictatorship on September 24, 1976, at the age of 23.

A commemorative walk will take place from a local plaza to his childhood home, where participants will gather to share speeches. Amigo was a student of engineering at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and worked as a turner and draftsman to support his family and fund his studies.
