Quimper woman detained for impersonating Ministry of Justice

A 38-year-old woman has been placed in pre-trial detention in Quimper, France, after allegedly creating a fictitious organization that claimed to be affiliated with the Ministry of Justice.

The suspect reportedly presented herself as the director of a service dedicated to child protection. Using falsified documents and official logos, she established an entity that allowed her to rent office space, lease vehicles, and purchase equipment such as computers and service uniforms. Many of these providers and landlords have reportedly not been paid.

Additionally, the woman is accused of recruiting eight employees using fraudulent employment contracts. The suspect, who has five prior convictions including three for fraud, is currently under investigation. While the investigation is ongoing to determine the total financial damage, authorities stated there is currently no evidence that public funds were misappropriated.
