The Mato Grosso State Secretariat of Environment (Sema-MT) has temporarily suspended several environmental licenses related to the revitalization of the Quineira Municipal Natural Park in Chapada dos Guimarães. The suspension specifically targets construction projects for parking lots, reception areas, restaurants, bathrooms, and internal trails.

The decision, published in the State Official Gazette, remains in effect until a Management Plan for the conservation unit is presented and approved. While these specific interventions are halted, other administrative acts, environmental conditions, and control programs remain valid, provided they comply with a Conduct Adjustment Agreement (TAC) established with the Public Ministry.

The revitalization contract, managed by the State Secretariat of Infrastructure and Logistics (Sinfra), is valued at approximately R$ 12.58 million, with Ágape Construtora Ltda. serving as the responsible contractor. This follows previous work stoppages in late 2025 due to the absence of the required management plan.
