Quintana Roo expands wellness tourism and earns four Tripadvisor Best‑of‑Best spots

Quintana Roo is positioning itself as a global wellness hub. The state will host the World Wellness Weekend from September 18‑20, offering free yoga, meditation, nutrition workshops and other health activities across hotels, spas, gyms and community venues. Organiser Margarita Álvarez says the free‑to‑fee model aims to attract visitors who may later pay for services, and a digital map will showcase participating sites to international travelers.

In the same year, four Quintana Roo destinations – Bacalar, Cancún, Tulum and Cozumel – were named to TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best 2026 list. The award, based on millions of verified traveler reviews, highlights the region’s high‑quality beaches, natural attractions and cultural sites, reinforcing its reputation as Mexico’s leading tourism destination.
