Quintana Roo Labor Conciliation Center sees 200% surge in requests

Requests for assistance at the Quintana Roo Labor Conciliation Center increased by more than 200% during 2026. Monthly average users rose from 1,763 in August 2025 to 5,297 during the same period this year.

Unjustified dismissal is the primary driver of these inquiries, accounting for over 95% of the consultations provided. Reported issues include unpaid wages, loss of social security benefits, and workplace harassment.

The center reports an average of 922.5 monthly hearings. Approximately 71.3% of these matters were resolved through agreements, resulting in the recovery of 271.6 million pesos for 37,000 workers.
