Renán Sánchez Tajonar holds community meetings across Cozumel neighborhoods
Local deputy Renán Sánchez Tajonar, president of the Junta de Gobierno y Coordinación Política (JUCOPO) of Quintana Roo's 18th Legislature, continued his permanent program of neighborhood assemblies on the island of Cozumel. He met with families in the colonies 10 de Abril and Taxistas y Martillos, hearing concerns about public security, street lighting, pavement conditions, and the provision of public services. Each request was formally recorded for follow‑up with the relevant authorities. Tajonar stressed that “when one listens in the homes of families, one truly understands what is needed; that is the best way to manage and accompany people until things change.” He highlighted coordination with Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum, noting that the initiative reflects a government close to the people. The deputy said the meetings will continue permanently across other Cozumel neighborhoods to maintain direct dialogue and address citizens’ needs.
