Quintana Roo State Government Expands Direct Dialogue with Rural Communities
Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa’s administration in Quintana Roo has instituted permanent work tables through the state Secretariat of Government (SEGOB) to address requests from rural community leaders. Secretary of Government Cristina Torres Gómez met with residents in Ucum, Othón P. Blanco municipality, reaffirming the governor’s directive to pursue solutions without abandoning issues.
The continuous work tables involve state and federal agencies and, when needed, legal bodies, aiming to resolve community needs promptly or incorporate them into the next year’s budget. The initiative is presented as part of a “humanist, feminist‑hearted” government that prioritises direct dialogue and sustained follow‑up with families across the state.
