Quintana Roo storms cause flooding and infrastructure damage

Heavy rainfall and electrical activity in northern Quintana Roo have caused flooding, traffic complications, and infrastructure damage. In Cancún, specifically within the La Guadalupana neighborhood, a fallen utility pole from the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) crushed several parked vehicles.

Local reports indicate significant water accumulation on main avenues and various streets, forcing motorists to seek alternative routes. The storm also caused traffic signal failures at multiple intersections, prompting municipal transit agents to deploy for preventative patrols. Additionally, residents in Cozumel reported power fluctuations and temporary drops in water pressure due to affected pumping systems.
