Quintanar del Rey wins RTVE's El Grand Prix summer final

Quintanar del Rey (Cuenca) has been crowned the winner of the 2026 summer edition of RTVE’s 'El Grand Prix' after a highly competitive final against Polinyà (Barcelona). The competition, hosted by Ramón García, saw the Castilian-Manchegan town overcome an early lead by the Catalan team to secure the trophy, largely thanks to a decisive performance by the contestant 'Culete' in the 'Diccionario' challenge.

The final featured various physical and skill-based tests, including 'La Cucaña', 'Recoge cocos', and 'Los supercocineros'. In the latter, both teams achieved an identical time of 2 minutes and 15 seconds, a feat described by García as “practically impossible” in the history of the show. The event was supported by celebrity godparents Victoria Martín for Polinyà and Miguel Maldonado for Quintanar del Rey.

The program has been a summer ratings success for RTVE, maintaining an average audience share of 11.7% and reaching over 2.8 million unique viewers per episode.
