Quinton Aaron recovers from paralysis following near-fatal spinal stroke

Quinton Aaron, the actor known for his role in ‘The Blind Side’, is undergoing intensive rehabilitation following a near-fatal medical emergency in January. Aaron suffered a spinal stroke and a pulmonary embolism that left him paralyzed from the waist down and caused him to fall into a coma. During his hospitalization, he experienced cardiac arrest and required multiple resuscitations.

While incapacitated, Aaron discovered that his wife, Margarita DeLeon, was still legally married to another man. Although the couple married in December 2024, DeLeon had not finalized her divorce from her previous husband. Aaron has since cut all contact with DeLeon following the revelation.

Despite his physical challenges, Aaron is focused on a recovery he describes as a ‘second chance’. He is currently working to regain upper-body strength and mobility at a rehabilitation facility. Looking toward the future, he plans to expand his career into authorship, podcasting with iHeartRadio, and entrepreneurship through a new clothing line and documentary.
