Regional infrastructure and utility developments in Latin America

Various regional infrastructure and utility developments are underway across Latin America. In Colombia, construction has begun on the ALO Sur, a 24.5-kilometer highway project in Cundinamarca with an investment of 1.64 trillion pesos aimed at connecting Soacha and Bogotá to alleviate congestion on the Autopista Sur.

In Medellín, Colombia, a major pipe failure has left approximately 13,000 households and businesses without water in the Villa Hermosa and Manrique sectors. EPM is conducting repairs to restore service.

In Santiago, Dominican Republic, Coraasan is intensifying a pothole repair program, having utilized 4,413 cubic meters of asphalt since February to improve urban transit. Meanwhile, in Quito, Ecuador, the municipality has launched an eight-month rehabilitation project for 21 streets in the north of the city to improve mobility near the El Labrador Metro station.

In Concepción, Chile, authorities have announced the gradual reopening of vehicular traffic in Plaza Perú following road improvement works.
