Quito introduces digital process for Guayasamín toll exemptions

The Municipality of Quito, through the Metropolitan Public Company of Mobility and Public Works (EPMMOP), has launched a digital procedure to facilitate toll exemptions for the Oswaldo Guayasamín tunnel. This corridor connects the north-central part of Quito with the Cumbayá and Tumbaco valleys.

Eligible beneficiaries include senior citizens aged 65 and older, as well as individuals with a disability rating of 30% or higher. The exemption provides a 100% reduction in toll fees for a single registered vehicle per person.

The application process is free of charge and can be completed online via the official platform at guayasamin.epmmop.gob.ec. Applicants must register, upload personal identification, and provide vehicle documentation. The Toll Unit will review the submission and provide a response within ten days. Once approved, the exemption is valid for two years and is subject to renewal.
