Quito Mayor Pabel Muñoz reports 687 legal and administrative actions

Quito Mayor Pabel Muñoz has reported facing 687 legal and administrative actions during his nearly four years in office. During a Metropolitan Council session, Muñoz detailed that these challenges include 13 complaints filed with the Attorney General's Office, 514 information requests and examinations from the State Comptroller General, and 28 information requests from the National Assembly.

Muñoz also noted 59 control processes maintained by the Superintendency of Territorial Planning. He characterized the current situation as the “judicialization of politics” and stated that his administration is prepared to cooperate with the Attorney General, the Comptroller General, and other oversight bodies following recent raids on municipal facilities and investigations into alleged irregularities in public contracts.
