Quito, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, and Panama face road disruptions

Various regional incidents are causing significant traffic and social disruptions. In Quito, Ecuador, authorities closed Avenida 12 de Octubre in the El Ejido sector following a security alert regarding a possible explosive device. The National Police and transit agents are on-site to verify the threat and manage the area.

In Mexico, agricultural producers in Felipe Carrillo Puerto have threatened to block Highway 307 this coming Sunday. The protest is a response to crop losses caused by prolonged drought, with local leaders demanding a response from the state government regarding damage assessments submitted to Sedarpe.

In Panama, residents of Los Boquerones de Santiago are protesting against a leather treatment company. Neighbors report severe odors, insects, and sanitation issues, threatening to block the Inter-American Highway on Monday if the environmental and health concerns are not addressed.
