Syrian Arab Red Crescent teams and United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) personnel have moved to the vicinity of Al-Hamidiyah in the Quneitra countryside to retrieve the body of a 22-year-old man killed by Israeli forces.

The Israeli military stated that its troops identified a suspect attempting to infiltrate a military site within the security zone in southern Syria. According to Israeli reports, soldiers opened fire on the individual, resulting in his death.

Reports from Yedioth Ahronoth indicate the deceased was a Palestinian national residing in Damascus. Surveillance footage reportedly showed the man attempting to find a way into the site by climbing an earthen embankment. Notably, the reports specify that the man was unarmed and was only in possession of a mobile phone and an amount of money.
