Hanoi implements traffic adjustments for Tu Lien Bridge construction
Starting October 21, Hanoi authorities will implement significant traffic re-routing and road barriers in the Nghi Tam and Au Co areas to facilitate the construction of the Tu Lien Bridge and its connecting roads.
According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, fixed barriers will be installed along the center medians of Nghi Tam and Au Co streets to allow for the construction of bridge piers and abutments. These barriers will reduce the available road width to between 6 and 7.5 meters in the affected sections.
To manage the impact, several traffic changes will take effect: Yen Phu Nho street will become a one-way street from the Nghi Tam junction toward Thanh Nien street. Nghi Tam street will also operate as a one-way route between Alley 276 and a temporary opening near bridge piers N1-T3 and N1-T4. Additionally, trucks and passenger vehicles with more than 16 seats are prohibited from operating on certain sections of Nghi Tam and Yen Phu Nho streets near the Thang Loi Hotel. Drivers traveling from Nhat Tan Bridge to the city center are advised to use alternative routes via Yen Phu Nho street to reach the Thanh Nien - Yen Phu junction.
