Quảng Ninh transforms into a regional logistics and trade hub

Quảng Ninh province is transforming into a major logistics, trade, and tourism hub in Northeast Vietnam. The region is leveraging its unique geography, which includes both land and sea borders with China, to integrate into global supply chains and the Gulf of Tonkin economic belt.

Significant infrastructure investments, including over 6,400 km of roads and the 176 km Hai Phong-Ha Long-Van Don-Mong Cai expressway, are driving this shift. These developments are transitioning the province from a coal-dependent economy toward a multi-modal transport network involving seaports, airports, and international border gates.

Móng Cái, specifically, is evolving from a remote border area into a modern urban center. The district is focusing on developing its position as an international gateway for commerce, services, and logistics, supported by modernized border gate systems and expanding urban and industrial zones.
