Quảng Trị authorities deport nine Laotian nationals for illegal entry

Authorities in Quảng Trị province have completed the deportation of nine Laotian citizens who entered Vietnam illegally. The group was discovered after officials intercepted a vehicle operated by Hồ Văn Nghèo, who was transporting two Laotian nationals without identification in the La Lay commune area.

Upon conducting an emergency search of Nghèo’s residence, law enforcement discovered seven additional Laotian nationals lacking proper travel documentation. Investigations revealed that the suspects had organized the illegal entry of the group with the intention of seeking employment in Ho Chi Minh City.

As a result, the La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station has initiated criminal proceedings for the crime of organizing illegal entry and exit. Three individuals—Hồ Văn Nghèo, Hồ Thị Khanh, and Hồ Thị A Út—have been handed over to security investigators, while the nine Laotian nationals were processed for administrative violations and deported back to their home country.
