Quảng Trị strips three former district chairmen of official titles

Authorities in Quảng Trị province have stripped three former district chairmen of their official titles following their involvement in a major corruption case involving Công Minh Greenery Co., Ltd. The disciplined individuals include Phan Văn Linh, former Chairman of Triệu Phong district; Đặng Trọng Vân, former Chairman of Hướng Hóa district; and Võ Đắc Hóa, former Chairman of Gio Linh district.

The officials were prosecuted for violations regarding bidding regulations that caused serious consequences, as well as bribery and receiving bribes. This administrative discipline follows previous disciplinary actions taken against them within the Party.

The investigation centers on Công Minh Greenery Co., Ltd., which secured over 600 bidding packages across various localities with a total value exceeding 3,500 billion VND. Of this amount, more than 3,000 billion VND has been settled. Valuation councils for 100 projects have identified state losses amounting to nearly 100 billion VND.
