Quoc Hoc Hue High School recognized as special national historical relic

Quoc Hoc Hue High School, located in Hue, Vietnam, has been officially recognized as a special national historical relic. Established in 1896 by decree of King Thanh Thai, the school is one of the oldest secondary educational institutions in the country.

The school is noted for its unique architecture, featuring red brick buildings that blend Western styles with Asian influences along the banks of the Huong River. Historically, it served as a primary French-Vietnamese school in Indochina.

Beyond its architectural significance, the institution is a cradle for many prominent Vietnamese figures. It is the former school of President Ho Chi Minh, who studied there under the name Nguyen Tat Thanh. Other notable alumni include leaders such as Tran Phu, Le Duan, Pham Van Dong, and General Vo Nguyen Giap, as well as various renowned scientists and intellectuals.
