Qusra ministerial delegation assesses infrastructure and service needs
A ministerial delegation, acting under the directives of Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, conducted an inspection tour of the town of Qusra on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The visit aimed to assess the town's requirements for developmental and service projects, specifically in the sectors of health, water, electricity, infrastructure, and renewable energy.
The delegation's visit comes amid escalating settler attacks on the town and surrounding villages. To support the resilience of the local population, the government committed to facilitating building permits in targeted areas, enhancing health services through the provision of necessary medicines and supplies, and prioritizing Qusra for solar energy projects.
The delegation included several ministers, including the Ministers of Local Government, Health, National Economy, and Culture, as well as heads of environmental quality and energy authorities. During the tour, Nablus Governor Ghassan Daglas highlighted the reality of the town's situation and the ongoing siege on residents in Jabal Ras al-Ain. The Mayor of Qusra, Abdel Azim Wadi, noted that while the municipality provides free basic services to those in besieged homes, settler attacks have hindered efforts to restore services to some areas.
