Quyen Linh: Rare vintage photos of actor resurface

Rare archival images of Vietnamese actor and MC Quyen Linh from the early stages of his career have resurfaced, showcasing a significantly different appearance than his current public image. The photograph, taken by photographer Doan Minh Tuan, served as the cover for issue 222 of the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Newspaper, published on April 1, 1995.

At the time, Quyen Linh was recognized as a promising young talent following his graduation from the Second School of Theater and Film Arts. The images depict him with a rugged, romantic aesthetic characterized by thick hair, prominent eyebrows, and a mustache, a style typical of film stars from previous decades.

Journalist Le Quang Thanh Tam noted that the photo captures a pivotal period of Quyen Linh's youth before he became a household name across Vietnam. The actor himself expressed surprise upon seeing the vintage portrait of his younger self.
