R-CALF USA forms committees for federal lands and young producers

R-CALF USA has established two new committees aimed at addressing specific industry challenges and fostering future leadership.

The Federal Lands Committee was created to address the complexities of land management for ranchers grazing livestock on lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service. Chaired by Lorene Bonds, the committee will focus on issues such as federal grazing policies, agency overreach, land access, and predator management.

The Emerging Livestock Leaders Committee is designed for members aged 30 and younger. This initiative seeks to build a community for young cattle and sheep producers through mentorship and educational opportunities, encouraging greater involvement in the livestock industry.
