R Madhavan rejects propaganda claims over his films

Bollywood actor R Madhavan said his patriotism should not be interpreted as a political stance, rejecting the "sanghi" label applied to him on social media. He explained that online criticism does not influence his creative choices.

Madhavan defended his recent movies, stating that the film Dhurandhar, set in Pakistan, and the biopic Rocketry: The Nambi Effect are not government propaganda but truthful portrayals of their characters. He emphasized his duty as an actor to depict characters honestly, whether they are religious or atheist. While promoting his upcoming biographical drama GDN about engineer GD Naidu, Madhavan reiterated that his work reflects the stories he tells rather than any political agenda.
