R Praggnanandhaa maintains joint second in Sinquefield Cup
Indian chess Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa secured a draw against American GM Levon Aronian in the sixth round of the Sinquefield Cup. The result keeps Praggnanandhaa in joint second place with 3.5 points, with three rounds remaining in the Grand Chess Tour event.
Wesley So of the United States maintains the sole lead in the tournament with four points following a draw against France's Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. Praggnanandhaa shares the second-place position with Vachier-Lagrave and Germany's Vincent Keymer.
Anish Giri was the only player to achieve a decisive victory in the sixth round, defeating Jorden van Foreest. The Sinquefield Cup features a total prize pool of USD 475,000.
