R script pinpoints Ljubljana using signpost distance data

A recent R tutorial demonstrates how to verify the honesty of geographic signposts by triangulating city distances. The script uses OpenStreetMap data to locate the point where distance circles intersect, then identifies the nearest major city. Applying the method to a set of air‑distance measurements for Koper, Celje, Maribor and Kranj correctly reveals Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, as the estimated location.

The code outputs latitude, longitude, and an error margin, and lists nearby cities within a configurable radius, illustrating a practical approach for hobbyists and analysts to cross‑check location claims.
