Rab Port Authority signs 11 million euro reconstruction contract
The Rab Port Authority has signed a contract worth approximately 11.1 million euros to reconstruct the port of Rab and its access infrastructure. The project, funded through the EU Competitiveness and Cohesion Program for the 2021–2027 period, involves a consortium consisting of GP Krk and BSK Commerce.
Key components of the project include the renovation of roughly 400 meters of the port area, the construction of three floating piers, and the addition of 100 new communal berths to meet high demand. Additionally, the works will cover approximately 850 meters of the RB1 road leading to the port, including road construction repairs and the upgrading of utility infrastructure such as water supply, drainage, and electronic communications.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. Minister Oleg Butković noted that this initiative is part of a larger cycle of investments in Croatian port infrastructure, with over 500 million euros currently being invested in port projects across the country.
