Rabat hosts Grand Prix JIDAR 2026 street art competition

The EAC l’Boulvart association, in partnership with Rabat Région Patrimoine Historique, has launched the second edition of the Grand Prix JIDAR. This public vote allows residents of Morocco and international observers to select their favorite mural from 14 competing frescoes.

The artworks were created by 15 artists from ten different countries, including Morocco, Russia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, France, and South Africa, during the 11th edition of the JIDAR festival held in April 2026. The murals are located in the Hassan, Youssoufia, Agdal-Ryad, and Yaâcoub El Mansour neighborhoods of Rabat.

Voting is conducted entirely online at grandprixjidar.ma from November 1 to November 30, 2026. The winner will receive an artistic residency in Rabat and an exhibition. The previous winner, Yankamanta, is currently in residence, with an exhibition of his work scheduled for December 5 at Maison Gharbaoui in the Chellah site, where the 2026 winner will also be announced.
