Rabat protesters demonstrate in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque
Protesters gathered in front of the parliament building in Rabat, Morocco, to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and support for the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Organized by the Morocco Support and Aid Initiative and the Palestine National Action Group, the demonstration featured Palestinian flags and slogans condemning the occupation. Participants also called for an end to the normalization process between Morocco and the occupying regime.
Abdulhafiz es-Seriti, coordinator of the Palestine National Action Group, warned that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is in danger due to increasing raids and attacks. He urged Arab and Islamic nations to take action to protect the site, noting that threats include not only raids and arson attempts but also potential destruction.
The protest follows data from the Jerusalem Governorate showing that 11,409 individuals entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque between September 12 and October 1, with a significant surge during the Sukkot holiday period. Civil and political organizations in Morocco continue to hold events supporting Palestine and opposing diplomatic normalization.
