Rabbi Amos Gueta fatally stabbed in Netanya as two other men killed in separate Israeli towns

Rabbi Amos Gueta, a well‑known religious teacher in Netanya, was stabbed by an unidentified assailant early on Wednesday and later pronounced dead at a hospital. Police launched a manhunt for the suspect, whose identity is known to the authorities.

Within minutes of the rabbi’s death, two additional homicides were reported: a 21‑year‑old man was shot dead in Giur and a 24‑year‑old man was shot dead in Shfaram. All three victims were declared dead at the scene or after being taken to medical facilities. Police and emergency services continue to investigate the three killings, collecting evidence and searching for the perpetrators.

Local officials expressed grief, with Netanya’s mayor calling Rabbi Gueta “a great light and pillar of Torah and kindness” for the community.
