Rabbi Steve Leder criticizes Adam Brody over Gaza comments

Rabbi Steve Leder, a former technical consultant for the Netflix series ‘Nobody Wants This’, has publicly criticized actor Adam Brody over his comments regarding the conflict in Gaza.

In a recent interview with GQ, Brody expressed his views on the situation, stating, “Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine.” Leder responded via an Instagram video, calling Brody’s remarks “shocking” and “disgusting.” Leder, who served as an advisor during the first season to ensure the authenticity of Jewish culture and character portrayals, accused the actor of mischaracterizing the term “genocide.”

Leder argued that Brody’s comments demonstrated ignorance, suggesting that if the actor does not fully understand the implications of the word, he should “say nothing about it.” The dispute comes ahead of the third season of the series, which is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 22.
