Rabia Hatipoğlu opens bakery in Aksaray using İŞKUR grant
Rabia Hatipoğlu, a 38-year-old mother of two living in Aksaray, has opened a pide and etliekmek bakery after receiving a grant from the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR). Hatipoğlu, who has a 59 percent disability rating due to a congenital heart condition, had previously been unable to realize her business ambitions due to financial constraints.
After learning about İŞKUR’s support programs for individuals with disabilities through social media, Hatipoğlu applied for and received funding for her project. The grant allowed her to purchase essential equipment, including a natural gas oven, dough kneading and opening machines, as well as furniture.
The bakery serves various items such as etliekmek, pide, lahmacun, and tray dishes. Hatipoğlu currently employs four people, including her husband, and assists with production during busy periods.
