Polish libraries roll out summer programs for children and families

Across Poland, public libraries are launching a variety of free summer activities aimed at children, teens and families. In Rzeszów, the Wojewódzka i Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna runs the "Książka w plenerze" series with outdoor reading games, ecological theatre performances and craft workshops from early July through September.

Szczecin’s Łasztownia waterfront becomes a seasonal hub with concerts, the Hells Bells Festival, Holiday Park amusement rides, a women's‑focused summer city program, classical orchestral concerts and a new drone light show. Special bus lines will serve the area throughout July and August.

Local library clubs in multiple cities continue their June programmes, including discussion groups on poet correspondence, LEGO‑building workshops, RPG game sessions, floral design classes and model‑making contests.

In Trzcinica, the Gminna Biblioteka Publiczna organized workshops for children to create a "Gwarowe Bingo" game that teaches the Wielkopolska dialect, culminating in a tournament.

Rabka‑Zdrój’s municipal library and cultural venues schedule a long list of summer events, from dance‑movement camps and night hikes to literary festivals, folk concerts, MMA bouts and a high‑school art school.

The Racibórz library announced a change to its e‑book lending system: monthly codes for Legimi and Empik Go will be issued via an online form, with limited quantities each month.
