Rabobank provides funding for Dutch community and student associations
Rabobank has distributed significant funding to local organizations and student associations in the Netherlands to support sustainability and community development.
In Leiden, four student associations—L. S. V. Minerva, L. V. V. S. Augustinus, SSR-Leiden, and Asopos de Vliet—received a combined €70,500. This funding, provided by Rabobank in collaboration with the Plaatselijke Kamer van Verenigingen (PKvV) and CFP Green Buildings, is designated for sustainability measures. Specific projects include installing solar panels, improving heating systems, implementing smart thermostats, and enhancing biodiversity.
In the Groninger Land region, Rabobank members voted to distribute €330,000 among 735 local clubs, associations, and foundations. The funds aim to strengthen these organizations by supporting sustainability initiatives, new materials, local activities, and volunteer recruitment. The distribution process involved 9,383 members participating in a three-week voting period.
