Racconigi hosts successful fourth edition of Libri a Castello festival

The fourth edition of the “Libri a Castello” cultural festival in Racconigi concluded on September 16, 2026, drawing approximately 2,000 attendees over four evenings. The event featured a diverse program including theater, music, and book presentations held at the Racconigi Castle.

The festival opened with a Shakespearean performance, “Shakespeare – Sonetti di mezza estate,” by the Essenza Danza company. Subsequent highlights included Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia discussing his book regarding Maria José, the last Queen of Italy, and singer Giusy Ferreri presenting her debut novel.

The final evening featured journalist and author Marianna Aprile presenting “La promessa.” Her work explores eighty years of women's rights in Italy, tracing the history from the first female vote in 1946 through the contributions of the twenty-one female constituents and subsequent legal milestones such as divorce and equal pay laws.
