Raccoon Logic announces Breakaway Hockey League for PC

Raccoon Logic, the developer behind Journey to the Savage Planet, has revealed Breakaway Hockey League, a new title designed to bring competitive ice hockey back to the PC platform. Unveiled during the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2026, the game is being developed specifically for PC.

Unlike traditional hockey simulations where players control an entire team, Breakaway Hockey League utilizes a 4-on-4 format where each player is directly responsible for a single skater. This approach emphasizes individual skill, teamwork, and real-time decision-making. Matches are designed to be fast-paced, lasting only five minutes to ensure high intensity.

The gameplay focuses on speed and physics, with puck rebounds, deflections, and unpredictable movements requiring quick reactions. Players must manage various actions, including passing, dribbling, shooting, and physical checks, to secure victory in short, high-speed encounters.
