Rachel Van Gorp named to Big 12 Preseason Team

Iowa State volleyball libero Rachel Van Gorp has been named to the Big 12 Preseason Team. Van Gorp, a junior, is the only libero included on the 19-player list. She enters the season as the reigning AVCA National Libero of the Year and Big 12 Libero of the Year.

Last season, Van Gorp recorded 556 total digs, ranking 15th in the NCAA for total digs and 30th in digs per set. Her accolades also include AVCA Second Team All-America honors and being named to the AVCA Preseason Player of the Year Watch List. Additionally, she recently represented the United States at the U21 Pan Am Games, where the team won the championship.

In the Big 12 Preseason Poll, Iowa State was projected to finish in sixth place.
