The shirt was produced by the National Day Laborer Organizing Network, an organization that campaigns against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and various immigration enforcement policies.

Zegler’s public commentary has previously been a point of contention surrounding the ‘Snow White’ production. Her statements regarding the original 1937 animated film and her political views have been linked to the film's reception and marketing challenges.
