Rachel Zegler to lead Broadway revival of ‘Evita’ in 2027

Rachel Zegler will lead the Broadway transfer of Jamie Lloyd’s production of ‘Evita’ in spring 2027. Zegler is reprising her role as Eva Perón, a performance that earned her the 2026 Olivier Award in London.

Joining Zegler are Diego Rodriguez and James Olivas, who will reprise their roles as Che and Juan Perón from the West End production. The cast also includes Bella Brown as The Mistress and alternate Eva Perón, and Ángel Lozada as Agustín Magaldi. The production will feature an ensemble of performers and swings, with 101 Productions serving as general manager.

Directed by Jamie Lloyd, known for his stripped-down staging in productions like ‘Sunset Boulevard’, this revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical is scheduled to play at the Winter Garden Theater. The production follows the life of Argentinian political figure Eva Perón.
