The French National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF) has concluded its closing arguments in the corruption and influence peddling trial of former minister Rachida Dati and former Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn.

For Dati, the prosecution has requested a four-year prison sentence, including two years firm under electronic monitoring, a 450,000 euro fine, and five years of ineligibility for public office. The PNF also requested her immediate disqualification from public functions and the legal profession, seeking provisional execution of these penalties. The case centers on approximately 900,000 euros Dati received from the Renault-Nissan alliance between 2010 and 2012 while serving as a Member of the European Parliament.
