Racibórz and Żary complete major municipal thermal modernisation projects

The city of Racibórz finished a large‑scale thermal modernisation of 34 municipal residential buildings, a programme that cost more than 20 million zł. Funding came from the TERMO programme of the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and a grant from the National Plan for Reconstruction and Resilience. The works included external wall and roof insulation, replacement of windows and doors, upgrades to central heating, hot‑water and electrical installations, and the removal of coal‑fired boilers to improve energy efficiency and air quality.

In the neighbouring town of Żary, the municipal sports hall “Promień” entered the implementation phase of its own thermal modernisation. The project, also supported by national funds, aims to improve the building’s energy performance and comfort for users, continuing the broader push in the region to upgrade public facilities under the same funding schemes.
