Racibórz hosts 13th national literary prose competition

The Municipal and County Public Library in Racibórz has announced the 13th edition of the national literary competition, ‘Racibórz Prozą Zaczarowany – Tam, gdzie zaczyna się opowieść’. Supported by the Starost of Racibórz County, Grzegorz Swoboda, the contest invites participants to submit prose works set within Racibórz or the surrounding county.

A significant change for this year is the introduction of a dedicated category for writers under the age of 18, allowing young authors to compete separately from adults. Submissions must be between 5 and 10 standard typed pages and can span various genres, including realism, fantasy, crime, or science fiction.

Entries must be submitted using a pseudonym or literary emblem to ensure anonymity. The deadline for submissions is November 6, 2026, with results to be announced on November 27, 2026. Winners will receive prizes, including e-readers funded by the Racibórz County Starosty.
