Racibórz: Pedestrian injured in multi-vehicle collision

A series of emergency interventions occurred in the Racibórz district, including a significant road accident on Opawska Street. During the accident, a 71-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle while using a pedestrian crossing. The collision was triggered when a 61-year-old driver failed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, causing a chain reaction that pushed a Mazda into the pedestrian.

Kamil Łydkowski, an off-duty junior officer from the Pietrowice Wielkie Police Station, was the first witness to provide medical assistance to the victim before emergency services arrived. The injured woman was transported to the hospital.

Other recent interventions in the region included a hay bale fire in Rudach, which is suspected to be arson, a spilled cargo of soybeans on Jan Pawła II Street, and various road obstructions involving oil spills and collisions.
