Racine Art Museum to host Accidentally Wes Anderson exhibition

The Racine Art Museum (RAM) has announced a partnership with the digital media platform Accidentally Wes Anderson (AWA) to host the Midwest premiere of the exhibition “Accidentally Wes Anderson: Adventures in Wisconsin.” Scheduled to run from February 24 through June 13, 2027, the show will feature photography of real-world locations that mirror the highly stylized, symmetrical, and colorful aesthetic of filmmaker Wes Anderson.

The exhibition will blend AWA’s global imagery with community-sourced photographs from Racine, southeast Wisconsin, and the broader state. In addition to photography, the display will include various mediums such as sculpture, jewelry, works on paper, miniatures, and artistic taxidermy, arranged in cinematic-style vignettes.

A public call for photo submissions will open on September 28, inviting residents and visitors to submit images of “Wes-worthy” locations. The submission period will remain open until November 15, 2026. Selected entries may be featured in the museum exhibition or shared via AWA’s social media platforms.
