Racing Bulls urges young drivers to study Max Verstappen’s radio
Team principal Alan Permane of the Formula 1 outfit Racing Bulls told his rookie drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad to listen to Max Verstappen’s radio communications as a learning tool. Lawson (24, New Zealand) and Lindblad (19, Swedish‑British) form the least‑experienced driver pair on the 2026 grid, with only 35 Grand Prix starts between them, far fewer than the Mercedes rookies. Permane praised Verstappen’s calm demeanor and clear feedback, saying the champion’s radio is an exemplary guide for young pilots. The team, which shares ownership with Red Bull but uses only publicly available data and parts, also noted Lawson’s brief two‑race stint with Red Bull in 2025.
