Racing Club de Bobo unveils plan for Ligue 1 return

Racing Club de Bobo (RCB) has officially unveiled a new sporting project for the 2026-2027 season aimed at securing a return to the first division. Presented by club president Amadou Bamba in Bobo-Dioulasso, the initiative focuses on rebuilding a competitive team and modernizing club infrastructure.

The strategic plan consists of four main pillars, with the immediate promotion to the top tier being the highest priority. To ensure long-term competitiveness, the club intends to establish its own training center and academy to develop youth categories, including a women's section. Additionally, the project emphasizes economic viability through the development of revenue-generating infrastructure. Souleymane Diakité, also known as ‘Baresi’, has been appointed to lead the sporting project, with training scheduled to resume on August 17, 2026.
