Racing Club readies for Clausura debut and Copa Argentina under coach Vojvoda

Racing Club will open the 2026 Torneo Clausura on Friday, 24 July, hosting Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata at the Cilindro de Avellaneda. The match marks the first competitive outing for new head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda, whose contract runs until June 2027, and signals the start of a rebuilding phase after last season’s exits in the Apertura quarter‑finals and the Copa Sudamericana group stage.

The team also prepares for its Copa Argentina round of 16 tie against Defensa y Justicia, scheduled for the following Thursday at Quilmes stadium.
