Racing sells left‑back Gabriel Rojas to Cruzeiro for $6 million

Racing Club of Argentina is in advanced negotiations to sell left‑back Gabriel Rojas to Brazilian side Cruzeiro. The Brazilian club has offered roughly six million US dollars, which would give Racing a profit of about four million on the defender who was bought for two million last year. Rojas, who is about to turn 29, has appeared in over 140 matches for Racing, scoring five goals and providing 23 assists, and he made his Argentina debut in a friendly against Mauritania in March. Both clubs are working on the payment structure, and the player’s contract with Cruzeiro is expected to run until December 2029, with the transfer likely to be completed within days.
