Radar Madrid hosts over 100 international music industry agents

The Community of Madrid is hosting Radar Madrid, an international professional gathering that brings together more than 100 music industry agents from October 19 to 21. Organized by the Charco platform and promoted by the regional government, the event aims to facilitate business opportunities for artists and companies, focusing on connections between Spain, Hispanoamérica, the United States, and Europe.

The event combines professional meetings with over 30 live performances across various venues, including the Movistar Arena. Mariano de Paco Serrano, the Counselor of Culture, Tourism, and Sport, emphasized the importance of supporting the sector to expand the international reach of regional talent. To this end, he announced that aid lines intended to improve the competitiveness of the music industry will increase by more than 40% between 2026 and 2028.

According to a socio-economic impact study by EY, the music industry generates 1,940 million euros in economic value within the Community of Madrid. The sector supports 7,854 companies and 21,815 jobs, with a fiscal impact of 695 million euros. The report notes a significant multiplier effect, where every euro generated directly by musical activity produces two additional euros in the broader economy.
