RADDHO holds human rights training in Diourbel

The African Meeting of Human Rights (RADDHO) organized a training session in Diourbel focused on support mechanisms, legal assistance, and judicial aid for victims of rights violations. The workshop was held in partnership with Lawyers Without Borders Canada (ASFC) as part of the RÉCIT project, which aims to strengthen civic rights in Benin and Senegal. The initiative is funded by Global Affairs Canada.

The training brought together journalists, activists, and human rights defenders, with a specific emphasis on child protection. Participants discussed various forms of support available to victims, including legal aid, psychological support, and social assistance. Organizers highlighted the importance of protecting individuals facing violence, pressure, intimidation, or threats while ensuring their fundamental rights are respected.
